Coprosys Selects Proteus AMT for Data Networks

Coprosys was established in1990 at Chrudim, Czech Republic to specialize in the design and implementation of local area networks.

In 1993 the company changed its focus to the provision of complex and comprehensive solutions in the sphere of telecommunication services as well as the development, manufacturing, and installation of microwave links for data transmission. Coprosys continues to manufacture these microwave radios under the name of MicroLAN.

The growth of this business as a service provider drove Coprosys to begin evaluating licensed microwave solutions as well.  Coprosys needed to choose the optimal product that would satisfy its own requirements to build up an intelligent, evolving network yet would also support all types of services, including those relying on the emerging IP protocol.

After a careful evaluation of a number of available microwave radio solutions from different manufacturers, Coprosys selected the Intelligent Bandwidth^TM Proteus AMT products from MNI. One of the key factors that ultimately drove Coprosys to select MNI was the Proteus AMT family’s highly adaptable and easily upgradeable architecture that allows on-demand capacity and configuration upgrades. The simple capacity upgrades with minimal service disruption allows Coprosys the flexibility to easily migrate all services to IP.

The Intelligent Bandwidth^TM Proteus AMT microwave radio solutions have become, in a very short time, the critical components of Coprosys' network infrastructure which includes microwave links operating in frequencies ranging from 3.5 to 43.5 GHz, an optical back bone, as well as other laser optical links. The Intelligent Bandwidth^TM Proteus AMT microwave radios are used mostly for back-haul applications but also provide solutions for last-mile access requirements.
