![]() Coprosys Selects Proteus AMT for Data Networks January 5, 2007 12:00 PM Stafford, Texas ![]() Coprosys was established in1990 at Chrudim, Czech Republic to specialize in the design and implementation of local area networks. In 1993 the company changed its focus to the provision of complex and comprehensive solutions in the sphere of telecommunication services as well as the development, manufacturing, and installation of microwave links for data transmission. Coprosys continues to manufacture these microwave radios under the name of MicroLAN. The growth of this business as a service provider drove Coprosys to begin evaluating licensed microwave solutions as well. Coprosys needed to choose the optimal product that would satisfy its own requirements to build up an intelligent, evolving network yet would also support all types of services, including those relying on the emerging IP protocol. After a careful evaluation of a number of available microwave radio solutions from different manufacturers, Coprosys selected the Intelligent BandwidthTM Proteus AMT products from MNI. One of the key factors that ultimately drove Coprosys to select MNI was the Proteus AMT family’s highly adaptable and easily upgradeable architecture that allows on-demand capacity and configuration upgrades. The simple capacity upgrades with minimal service disruption allows Coprosys the flexibility to easily migrate all services to IP. “The MNI Proteus AMT microwave radios have continued to deliver a solid and quantifiable return on our investment and they allow Coprosys to adapt its network to ever changing demands, from both a technology and customer perspectives”, said Pavel Haba, Director of Operations for Coprosys. “Coprosys uses the complete portfolio of the AMT product line - Proteus AMT and Proteus AMT-L - and is currently planning to deploy the recently released Proteus AMT-M to further support the higher bandwidth services that our customers are asking for.” Coprosys isn't the only user of MNI's solutions in the Czech Republic. Coprosys supplies Intelligent BandwidthTM Proteus AMT microwave radio solutions to other Czech operators and enterprise customers as well. Other key Coprosys customers and MNI solutions users include the Czech Telco and ISP operator GTS Novera, the large academic network provider Cesnet, the Cable TV provider Comtes, the Czech military agencies, and many other commercial and non-commercial users. The Intelligent BandwidthTM Proteus AMT microwave radio solutions have become, in a very short time, the critical components of Coprosys' network infrastructure which includes microwave links operating in frequencies ranging from 3.5 to 43.5 GHz, an optical back bone, as well as other laser optical links. The Intelligent BandwidthTM Proteus AMT microwave radios are used mostly for back-haul applications but also provide solutions for last-mile access requirements. Today, Coprosys provides a complete portfolio of data, voice, and internet services that depend on the reliability of the Proteus AMT Intelligent BandwidthTM microwave radios, along with the quality guarantee demanded by its customers and supported with teams of MNI certified engineers and technicians.
